Itinerary : 4 days tours from Marrakech to Fes via the desert

On our 4 days desert trip from Marrakech to Fes, we may have the opportunity to witness and experience some of Morocco’s most renowned landmarks. Following our visit to the Ouarzazate and Ait Benhaddou kasbahs, our accommodation will be in Boumalne Dades.Our inaugural excursion of the desert, the preeminent location in Morocco, is scheduled for the second day. We will subsequently spend the evening at a hotel.

A number of sites, including khamliya and nomadic lifestyle, will be visited on the second day. We will then travel by camel to a Berber camp for the night under the celestial sky. On the final day, we will travel directly to Fes, stopping en route in Ifrane, Midelt, Zaida, and Ziz Valley.

We began our 4 days expedition from Marrakech to Fes through the Sahara. Our driver-guide will collect you up at the communities along the route following breakfast.

At the outset of the journey lies the renowned municipality of Ait Ben Haddou. Numerous renowned films were filmed in Ait Ben Haddou, a Berber fortified Kasbah: Bandits (1981), Lawrence Darabie (1962), Gladiator (2000), Alexandre (2004), and Kingdom of Heaven (2005), to name a few.

Before proceeding to the Hollywood of Africa, where you will visit the Kasbah of Taourirte and the studio of Ouarzazate, you will have the opportunity to stroll through the picturesque Dades Valley, offering a fleeting glimpse of Kasbahs along the way to our hotel.

We will depart the Dades valley and resume our voyage to the Sahara desert following breakfast. As we traverse the route's precipitous, picturesque canyons, we shall be treated to a panoramic view of Morocco's largest valley of palm fronds.

The vast Sahara desert of Merzouga can be approached via a palm-lined pathway.

We will be staying in Merzouga for two nights. Guests will spend the initial evening at a motel that boasts an awe-inspiring location perched atop dunes.

The Auberge is surrounded by gentle sand dunes, providing an opportunity for barefoot exploration of the vicinity. Expect a very hectic schedule the following day; therefore, you will need to unwind.

Following breakfast, you will go on a 4x4 safari through the Sahara desert in search of its mysteries and treasures. Exhilaratingly, you will traverse the RALLY DAKAR course in the midst of extensive dunes.

You will then have tea with an itinerant household that you will visit. Then, you will be transported to the village of KHAMLIYA. Khamliya is a minuscule municipality situated in close proximity to the central region of Merzouga. The majority of the inhabitants of this community were transported captives from the era of enslavement. Furthermore, it is considered the foundational underpinning of Gnaoua music.

After lunch, you are granted some leisure time. Before twilight, you will be accompanied to a camel park from where you will embark on a camel journey to the oasis yurt situated amidst the desert. You will stop your caravan in the midst of the expansive dunes en route to camp to observe the setting sun. Following this, you will proceed with your journey to camp.

This camp will offer you an authentic nomadic experience. This campsite is equipped with every essential amenity. Excellent, freshly prepared regional cuisine is served. Nomads will have you swaying, chanting, and reciting riddles beneath the night sky following supper. (morning and dinners)

You will have breakfast and watch the most magnificent sunrise while capturing photographs. You will then return to your hotel in preparation for the third day, which will involve a landscape change.

You will begin by traversing the Ziz valley, which is the longest gorge in Morcco, before arriving at the breathtaking vantage point of Ait Sheker.

We will then proceed through Tizi Ntlghamt. Beholden to the roadways are breathtaking vistas of the nomadic herdsmen and verdant mountains. Lunch will be served in Midlet City, the capital of Apple, which is our subsequent destination. We will continue our journey into the vast Cedar jungle following lunch.

We will make a halt in order to photograph and observe primates. We will then proceed to Ifran, the Switzerland of Africa. Ifrane is a small community tucked away in the vast forests of the Atlas Mountains. We will pause and visit the lion statue in order to obtain information about its history.

Then, we will arrive in the imperial city of Fes, the final stop of our 4 days journey from Marrakech across the Sahara desert.
